The One Window House 2007 AIA | LA Award

AKA the "Semantic Argument House." In fact, it has many ways to see out of the building, including glass walls, glass doors, but yeah, only one actual, punch-a-hole-in-the-wall window. For you architectural history buffs, it is a "raumplan" floating over a "plan libre" and for you Silicon Beach types, its has a cool "third space" in the back for a home office that's nonetheless separate from the other parent and the kids. It was a a dream to design this home for ourselves and a joy to live in, until some ACTOR bought it from us....
